About the OISC
International Observatory on Stability and Conflict
The OISC is an organization based on a network of contributors. Its main role is that of a watchdog analyzing the conflicts societies – or their representative institutions – are experiencing on a local, regional, national, international, or organizational basis. The OISC aims at publishing reports consisting of a critical analysis of international affairs, of social crisis, and any situation with the potential of threatening the political, social and/or economic stability of any given state or social entity. The observatory aims at being a hybrid entity with interdisciplinary orientations and practices. It is built around a cross-oriented approach to various fields: political science, history, social geography, economics, semiology, anthropology, sociology and any other science with the potential to shed a light on the stakes of peace-building methods from yesterday, today and tomorrow.
